Each balcony combined a robust prefabricated steel base with aluminium decking and balustrades, providing a durable, low-maintenance solution tailored to the architectural intent of the scheme.

Our scope included:

• Full 3D design modelling and coordination with the project design team.

• Fabrication of structural steel balcony bases, manufactured under UKCA accreditation.

• Powder-coated finishes to RAL specification for long-term protection and aesthetics.

• Installation of modular balcony units, ensuring efficient site delivery and minimal disruption.

The result is a series of high-quality balconies that enhance the building’s appearance while meeting the latest fire, drainage, and regulatory standards.

Wiltech Engineering delivered the full balcony and terrace balustrade package for Barratt Homes at the Blackhorse development in London E17. The project showcases a striking series of cantilevered balconies fabricated entirely from mild steel and finished in RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey, creating a strong architectural contrast against the light brick façade.

Each balcony was crafted with precision, featuring clean welded lines, sharp detailing, and a contemporary slatted balustrade design that adds depth and rhythm to the building’s exterior. In addition to the balconies, Wiltech also designed and installed bespoke terrace balustrades featuring laser-cut perforated panels with a unique patterned design, providing both privacy and visual interest to the rooftop spaces.
